BaT Auction Success Story: You Never Forget Your First Raptor

This win has a bit of a backstory for me, and you’ll see that it’s about much more than just a truck. I once owned a 2011 Ford Raptor that was specced out like the truck I recently won, but finished in blue; I affectionately named that truck Big Blue. It opened new roads that I’d never imagined myself driving down when I bought it. After I purchased Big Blue, the next seven years were spent traveling all over the country and attending various off-road events for Raptor enthusiasts. I had the time of my life, and I made many great friends along the way, too.

I loved my Raptor, but years of rugged off-roading took a toll on Big Blue. I eventually sold it and subsequently purchased a 2018 Raptor SuperCab. Undoubtedly, the SuperCab Raptor was a great truck, but I didn’t gel with it the way I did with my first Raptor. I also knew that a third-generation Raptor wouldn’t do it for me, and neither would any other truck. I wanted my old Raptor back.

The only way forward was to go back; it was time to look for another 2010-2014 model. I decided to take my search to BaT, which I frequent daily, and one day this auction came up: a 2010 Ford SVT Raptor. It checked all the right boxes—bone stock, low mileage, and a SuperCab. These qualities are rare in used Raptors, so I was determined to win. Luck was on my side, and in the end I got it!

From a buyer’s standpoint, the transaction was seamless and easy. The seller was honest about everything on the truck and a true pleasure to deal with. It was a perfect experience all around.

In my first month of ownership, I’ve already put 800 miles on it. I’ve also begun making it my own—safe to say it’s not stock anymore! And I’ve named this Raptor “The Beast.” Thank you, BaT.
