This 1989 Mazda B2200 SE-5 Cab Plus was initially delivered to Matthews Mazda of Marion, Indiana, and was acquired by the seller’s father circa 1991, and ownership passed to the seller in April 2020. Now showing 69k miles, the truck is finished in Dover White over gray cloth upholstery. Power is provided by a 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes a drop-in bedliner, SE-5 graphics, power steering, front disc brakes, white-finished 14″ wheels, cruise control, folding rear seat cushions, crank windows, and a factory cassette stereo. This B-series pickup is offered at no reserve with a window sticker, factory literature, service records, a Carfax report, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Dover White, and it features SE-5 graphics, black-finished mirrors, and a Mazda-branded drop-in bedliner. A September 2020 entry on the Carfax report lists a damage report. Areas of corrosion and blemishes on various surfaces are identified by the seller in the gallery below.
White-finished 14″ six-spoke wheels are wrapped in older Mastercraft A/S IV tires. The truck rides on a double-wishbone suspension with a stabilzer bar, torsion bars, and tubular shock absorbers up front in addition to a semi-floating live-axle setup featuring staggered-mount shock absorbers and semi-elliptic leaf springs out back. The truck was ordered with power steering, and stopping power is provided by front disc brakes with vented rotors as well as rear drum brakes.
The seats are trimmed in patterned gray cloth, and vinyl trim accents the backrests and headrests of the front bucket seats. Appointments include a heater, cruise control, folding rear seat cushions, crank windows, and a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. A Yamaha speaker sits on the floor aft of the driver’s seat. The air conditioning does not blow cold.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts the 110-mph speedometer, which is flanked by gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.2-liter SOHC inline-four is equipped with a two-barrel downdraft carburetor, and it produced 85 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller tells us that the truck received a tune-up and an oil change approximately a year ago.
