This 2000 Land Rover Defender 90 is said to have been delivered new to Switzerland, and it was refinished in metallic gray circa 2010. The truck was imported to the Netherlands in 2017, and the selling dealer tells us that refurbishments and modifications in 2025 included media blasting and refinishing the frame, installing 18″ Lucari alloy wheels, adding LED exterior lighting, fitting a Kbx grille and fender intake, and replacing assorted suspension, braking, exhaust, and interior components. Powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel Td5 inline-five linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, the truck is equipped with revised engine management software, an AlliSport intercooler, a locking center differential, a hardtop, four-wheel disc brakes, rock sliders, aftermarket bumpers, heated front seats, a Kenwood CD stereo, and a cabin heater. This Defender 90 has 276k kilometers (~172k miles) and is now offered in the Netherlands with the owner’s manual, a service booklet, and a Dutch registration.
The selling dealer tells us that Gunmetal Gray Metallic was used to finish the body circa 2010, and paint touch-ups are said to have been performed under current ownership. LED headlights were installed following the selling dealer’s acquisition, and additional modifications include checker-plate hood trim, LED turn signals, rock sliders, aftermarket bumpers, and a Kbx grille, fender intake, and headlight surrounds. The truck also has a hardtop with alpine windows as well as a tow ball, heated side mirrors, windshield vents, and tinted rear windows. Cracks are visible in the seal around the left alpine window.
The 18″ Lucari XTR1 alloy wheels were recently added, and they are mounted with 275/65 Radar Renegade A/T5 tires. A spare is mounted to the rear. The truck is equipped with a Bilstein steering damper and shocks, and braking is provided by discs at each corner. The brake master cylinder was replaced in 2025 along with the radius arm bushings, rear brake discs, and rear pads, according to the selling dealer.
The heated front seats are upholstered in black leather with cloth inserts, and they are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Refurbishments in 2025 included the installation of microsuede headliner and sun visor upholstery along with replacement door panels and floor mats. A pod atop the dashboard houses auxiliary switches, and additional appointments include leather-trimmed door handles, a Kenwood stereo head unit, aftermarket speakers, inward-facing bench seats trimmed in gray vinyl, and a center console with cupholders.
The instrumentation has been fitted with aluminum bezels and consists of a 200-km/h speedometer, a clock, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 276k kilometers (~172k miles), approximately 500 kilometers (~310 miles) of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter turbodiesel Td5 inline-five has been fitted with an AlliSport intercooler setup, and the selling dealer notes that performance engine management software is installed. The oil was changed and the filters were replaced within the last year.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is equipped with a locking center differential. The chassis was media blasted and galvanized before it was finished in black in 2025, and replacement center and rear exhaust components were installed. Photos of the chassis before it was painted are viewable in the gallery.
